Create Outlook Express data backup to recover valuable information


To avoid your data lose in the MS Outlook express or recovering Outlook Express, create the backup of the Outlook Express dbx file in which all the relevant information are stored in the form of the DBX file with extension of the .dbx.

For creating the back up of the Outlook Express DBX file folder use the following steps which are mentioned below :

Step 1 : Create a backup folder and copy the all message file in it.

A. Find the Store Folder -
  1. Open the MS Outlook Express.
  2. Select Option button in Tools menu.
  3. Then click the Store Folder.

B. Copy the all contents of the Store Folder
  1. Click start and select the Run tab.
  2. After that click the select all in the Edit menu.
  3. Then click Copy on the Edit menu
  4. Exit the window.
C. A new backup folder creation
  1. Create a new backup folder on your Desktop or any drive.
  2. Enter the name of the new backup folder and then press enter button.
D. Copy the all content in the new backup folder
  1. Open the new backup folder by clicking it.
  2. Paste the all content inside the new backup folder window.

Step 2: Create a .csv file : For creating the .csv file use the following steps which are given below :

  1. Click the Export Button on the File menu option.
  2. After clicking the Export Button select the Address Book.
  3. Select the text file before clicking the Export button.
  4. After clicking the Export select Browse.
  5. Then select the new created backup folder, which is created by you.
  6. Click save button before typing the address book backup in the file name box.
  7. Select the check boxes and then click the finish button.
  8. Finally click the Close button.

Step 3: Export the mail account to a file

  1. Click Accounts option on the tools menu.
  2. After that click the mail account and then click Export.
  3. Select the new created backup folder and then click save button.
  4. Repeat these all steps for each mail account that you want to export.
  5. Then click the Close button.

Step 4: Export the newsgroup account to a file

  1. Click Accounts on the Tools menu.
  2. After that click the news account and then click Export.
  3. Select the new created backup folder and then click save button..
  4. Repeat these steps for each news account that you want to export.
  5. Then click the Close button.
Above mentioned steps provides you a better way to manage your Outlook express data and also the ability to access emails even if anything goes wrong.
