Quick Steps is a one of the most advanced feature in Microsoft Outlook 2010 that helps to carry out multiple actions at once to your e-mails. Through this interesting and excellent feature, you can manage your all folders like inbox, sent items and more effectively. Quick Steps option enables the users to perform multiple tasks in just one click. For example, if you frequently move messages to more than a specific folder, you can use a Quick Step to move the message in just one click. Or, if you forward messages to your manager or peers, a one-click Quick Step can simplify the task.
Imagine a situation in which a user wants to send an e-mail and then wants it to archive. He can do it easily by creating a Quick Step and name it "Archive this mail". Now whenever he will click this option, the e-mail messages will be send and archived automatically.
How to Create?
Here is a list of steps to create a easy to use Quick Steps button:
1. Run Microsoft Outlook 2010
2. Go to the Home tab in the Quick Steps group, select Quick Steps gallery option and then click the Create New Quick Step.
3. Select an action type from the list or click on Custom.
4. Now go to Name box, type a name that you desired.
5. Click button next to the Name Box and then click OK.
6. Now move the Under Actions section and select an action that you want the Quick Step to do. For any extra actions Click Add Action button.
7. To create a shortcut key, you need to go Shortcut Key box and then select a shortcut from dropdown list.
Once you finished this process, you can see these Quick Steps under Home tab as shown in the below picture.
